I completed my student placement at Only About Children – Melbourne Central and had a fantastic experience. The educators are professional, supportive, and genuinely care about the children. The environment is clean, safe, and thoughtfully set up for babies and toddlers. I really appreciated how culturally inclusive the centre is – they respect each family’s background and celebrate diversity through daily practices. I learned so much about building relationships with children, planning meaningful activities.
Highly recommend this centre for both families and future educators looking for a quality learning environment.
My oldest son has been attending OAC Mernda since he was 11 months old, he is now 3 and a half. He is now in one of the 3 year old Kinder rooms. My younger son is in the Seedlings/babies room.
I recomend this center to everyone who asks and cannot speak more highly of it in general. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always saying good morning to each child individually at drop off (always using names). Communication has always been clear wether it be during handover, calling to ask questions or notify of incidents that may have happened (kids can be clumsy and unpredictable). The patience and care educators displayed while our family grew from 3 to 4 was incredible and really helped my son adjust to his new normal. He was never rushed into following instruction, he was guided into small things like feeding the fish, or reading a book. It is a time and support I will always be thankful for.
Every child you see throughout the center is happy and engaged, and the opportunities for real world learning and language experiences are short of nothing. It is incredible to see the children's interests encorportated into their learning environemtn and education program.
OAC Mernda really is an Early Learning Center, not just a daycare.
My toddler had a great time with teacher Ms.Katie Chang and Ms. Precious pearl as this was her first time CC experience and she loved it. Even though we were only staying in Melbourne for short period of time however the campus direct Ms. Negar llchizadeh and the teacher team showed their passion, love and all the support to us. Hope to see the team again when we going back to Melbourne. Many thanks.
We recently enrolled our kid there. Being first time in daycare we are extremely satisified with the care they provide.The facility is clean, well-organized, and equipped with engaging learning materials. The educators my child have are very caring and nurturing . Special mention to the educators Sukhwinder and Ashwini - they helped me and my child accommodate to the new transition. They have genuine passion for kids. With years of working with all kinds of children, they are fully equipped to give an utmost care. I am glad to have them as my child's educators. I highly recommend this daycare.
Wonderful Daycare Experience at OAC
My kids absolutely love attending this daycare. One of the standout features is the large outdoor play area and garden, which gives them plenty of time outside—something we really appreciate, especially since it seems to contribute to fewer sick days.
The educators are fantastic—genuinely caring, incredibly patient, and attentive to each child’s unique needs. The class sizes are just right—not too big—which ensures each child receives the attention they deserve.
What really sets OAC apart is their communication. The daily updates on Storypark including all the food they eat are detailed and thoughtful, and the number of photos shared each day is just incredible. Each child even receives a personalised highlight story each month showing their interest and development. We've never seen this level of transparency and engagement at any other center.
Highly recommend OAC to any parent looking for a nurturing and well-organised daycare.
Our daughter has been at OAC Southbank for over three years, and the care has been consistently outstanding.
The meals are healthy and we get daily updates, which gives us peace of mind. The environment is warm and welcoming — she’s gone from having no friends (born during COVID) to building strong friendships, and the confidence to speak with others.
Tina and everyone at the centre are incredibly supportive and genuinely care about the children and families. Security is solid with pass and code access, and rooms are well set up by age group.
We really appreciate the regular updates and photos — they help us feel connected to her day. OAC Southbank has been a wonderful place for our daughter to grow.
Only About Children Ferny Hills is an exceptional long day care centre. From the directors to the educators, every staff member demonstrates a genuine care and commitment to the well-being of the children. My son has attended OAC Ferny Hills since February 2022 and has always been supported by attentive, nurturing educators who go above and beyond. The thoughtfully designed facilities and engaging activities encourage meaningful friendships that extend beyond the centre. Although we’ll be sad to say goodbye at the end of 2025, I’m confident that the strong foundation OAC has provided will help my son thrive in Prep and beyond.
Nothing but amazing things to say about this centre! Sharna and her whole team are so wonderful with my little man, he always comes home smiling! The daily updates are so wonderful as well! I trust everyone so much and couldn’t recommend them more!
Our family has been with OAC over the past three years and the team have been nothing short of amazing. We’ve appreciated the continuity of care. We’ve had many of the same staff retained which has been so wonderful for my children and has made them feel safe in the space. Staff are great with daily communication.
The team at OAC Hampton are incredible - my son has been at the Centre for two years now (from the age of 1 to 3) and the team have been consistently incredible.
Going to work, knowing my son is in safe and loving hands makes such a difference.
Staff retention appears to be above average with many team members who were there on day 1 still working at the Centre.
Have had a great experience at OAC so far - it’s warm and welcoming, our kiddo loves going there and asks to go every morning. Thanks for your hard work everyone!
Our twins love it at OAC, Taylene, Lucia and the other staff in the pre kindergarten room are fantastic. They put in so much effort into the rooms to ensure the children are comfortable and happy. Parry & Emily are wonderful, the centre is well run and our children are happy and well taken care of. We’ve been at the centre for 18 months and even though there was a lot of change things have improved greatly. We couldn’t be happier with the new management team, the centre looks great.
