Campus Overview

Only About Children South Melbourne has four dedicated outdoor play areas – featuring climbing frames, bike tracks, sandpits, a worm farm, growing area and bamboo forest – children have plenty of space to explore, create and lead their own play. Each yard is under the covering of large sunshades for those summer days. Our five classrooms are age-based and designed with natural elements and a focus on safety and learning.

We have a team of bilingual educators who can speak Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Mandarin, Hindi and Italian. We enjoy connecting with our local community through regular planned excursions and activities that build on the children’s interests and learning. At Only About Children childcare South Melbourne, these include trips to Melbourne Zoo, the Aquarium and South Melbourne Market where we go to buy our fresh produce for our children to patriciate in cooking experiences and learn about healthy eating. We also enjoy close relationships with Albert Park Primary School, Middle Park Primary School and South Melbourne Primary School as part of our school readiness program.

Flexi Care (occasional care) is available at our South Melbourne Campus.

At our South Melbourne childcare centre we believe that our Educators are our greatest strength. They are qualified and passionate about creating an early learning environment where your child can feel happy, nurtured, stimulated and safe. We support the development of growing minds, in Nursery, Toddler and Kindergarten aged children, through our educational curriculum – Oac Grow. Our programs focus on

  • Left Brain Logic – Literacy & Language, Exploration & STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering & Math) and Sustainability
  • Right Brain Creativity – Music, Dramatic Play and Art
  • Health and Wellbeing – Physical Activity and Nutrition
  • Social Development – Trust, Respect & Relationship and Resilience & Mindfulness

All of our teachings are offered in an inclusive, fun environment.

Our innovative play-based curriculum allows Only About Children to stand out from the crowd with intentional teaching in small group learning environments where we track children’s successes, skills and challenges regularly.
