Only About Children Haberfield is a warm and inviting childcare centre for children aged 15 months to 5 years old to learn, grow and be inspired every day. We are extremely proud of our Exceeding rating in Quality Area 5 of the National Quality Standards – Relationships with Children. Quality Area 5 focuses on educators developing responsive, warm, trusting and respectful relationships with children and young people that promote their wellbeing, self-esteem, sense of security and belonging.

Haberfield Toddlers (15 months – 3 years)
Our toddler program in Haberfield supports children aged 15 months – 3 years in a nurturing environment that balances learning and play. Our educators use small group activities to build confidence, social skills and early learning foundations.
What’s Included in Our Haberfield Toddler program:
- Purpose-built learning spaces for toddlers aged 15 months – 3 years
- Balanced structured and unstructured play-based learning through our Grow Curriculum
- Small group learning activities.
- Dietitian-designed meals and snacks are included.
- Calm rest and sleep rooms.

Haberfield Preschool (3-5 years)
Our Haberfield preschool program prepares children for school through a blend of structured learning, creative play and wellbeing support. We use individualised learning plans to build skills in literacy, STEM, social development and resilience.
As a provider of NSW Start Strong Preschool Funding, our program is government-recognised and led by qualified early childhood teachers.
Our Haberfield Preschool Program Includes:
- Literacy, STEM, sustainability, music and art
- Individual Learning and Development Plans for every child with family check-ins every 6 months
- School-ready structure with core learning hours from 9am–3pm
- Long daycare hours for added flexibility and social growth
- Aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) for childcare.
- School-readiness support, including free Vision Screening

Meet Christine Pynes, the dedicated Director at Only About Children Haberfield. With over 25 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Education qualification, Christine brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. She has been an integral part of the Haberfield campus for the past 10 years, fostering a culture where children are at the heart of everything they do.
Known for her quirky sense of humor, Christine sees the funny side of things and fosters a warm, familial atmosphere among her team. At OAC Haberfield, Christine and her team strive to provide a safe, nurturing, and caring environment where children and families feel empowered to make decisions and develop a strong sense of identity. They actively engage with the surrounding community to ensure a holistic learning environment for all.
