Centre management is very organised and manages the center really well. All the educators have been very welcoming and nice. My son has settled in very well with a smooth transition from another service all thanks to the amazing educators and centre management that helped him with this process. The only downside is availability and the wait-list initially but so happy we're at the service now.

My son have been with this childcare centre for over a three year and will still continue with full time 4 years kindergarten and we would absolutely recommend anyone they have best childcare facility. Management and staff are fantastic treats you like family, it's such warm and welcoming environment, which makes dropping off so much easier!There are daily updates and photos so we get a little glimpse of all the activities specially kelly sports that the children are busy enjoying throughout the day. The centre is beautifully clean and they serve nutritious and a varied menu.Thank you to all the educators there who work so hard keeping our little one make comfortable, happy and safe :)

My son was previously at a centre for 3 months and we did not receive any artwork, observations or learning stories.In the two week that my so. has been at Woodlea he has already had 4 stories and done artwork, as a mother that makes me so happy!!Also the communication from Doaa and Sonia has been incredible so a huge thank you to them for making our first weeks absolutely amazing!

Very friendly environment, the educators tried their best to help parents settle the child when they just join,they even put efforts to learn different languages to be able to communicate with children who don't speak much English. At Only About Children Woodlea Nursery, our passionate educators focus on laying a foundation for enduring curiosity, confidence and a love of learning. Our Woodlea Nursery caters to the care and development needs of infants aged 6 weeks -2 years.

The Woodlea Nursery focuses on safe sleep practices developed by qualified Family Health Nurses and Consultants. Our nursery is a safe and stimulating environment that encourages your child to explore and play and implements both structure and a nurturing environment with our exceptional caregiving and play routines.

Our Woodlea Nursery Program includes:

Age 6 weeks -2 years appropriate indoor/outdoor learning environments.

Our Only About Children Woodlea campus is focused on giving your child a calm and welcoming environment that balances play, exploration, and learning. Our Toddler rooms are led by passionate educators who create play-based learning activities designed to provide toddler-aged children with nurturing experiences that encourage growth and development.

Our Toddler rooms are safe, supportive spaces that facilitate creative exploration. Each space is expertly designed to encourage younger children to explore, solve problems, create, construct and interact with peers.

Woodlea Kindergarten (3-5 years)

Only About Children Woodlea Kindergarten is focused on creating quality experiences that place your child in the best position to begin school. Our nurturing kindergarten educators give special emphasis on building school-ready skills, such as Literacy & Language, Exploration & STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering & Math), Sustainability, Music, Dramatic Play and Art. We aim to make your child’s transition to school as smooth as possible by providing balanced, small group learning activities that build independence and resilience along with academic skills.

Our team of highly-skilled educators and health specialists work together to create an integrated journey that enhances your child’s learning and development. Individual learning plans are created to empower each child with skills that will help them reach their full academic and social potential.

We use the Kinder Tick at Only About Children Woodlea because we’re an approved provider of a Victorian Government funded kindergarten program. That means our service delivers a play-based learning program, led by a qualified early childhood teacher.

Woodlea Kindergarten program

Provides an innovative curriculum focused on left brain logic and right brain creativity
Includes both structured and unstructured play-based learning that considers the child’s individual interests and development
Provides an ‘Individual Learning and Development Plan’ for every child with 6 monthly check-ins with families
A learning focus from 9am to 3pm to prepare children for typical school hours and routine whilst providing the flexibility of long hours for social development and play
Is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) for childcare.
Includes Health and Social Development support in preparation for school, including complementary Vision Screening

Woodlea Campus Educators

Rachael Lahiff

Campus Director

Meet Rachael, our experienced and dedicated Campus Director. With 16 years in early childhood education, Rachael started as a Certificate 3 assistant, worked her way up to Room Lead, and has spent the last nine years in management. In 2023, she completed her Bachelor in Early Childhood Teaching and is now studying for her Master’s in Teaching to continue expanding her knowledge and supporting children’s development.

Rachael loves getting to know the families and children at the campus, and nothing makes her happier than seeing their smiling faces each day. She’s passionate about creating a space where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. Rachael also enjoys working closely with her team of educators, helping them thrive and ensuring they feel supported.

Her approach to early education focuses on the individuality of each child, providing them with the environment and opportunities to grow into their full potential.

Outside of work, Rachael is a busy mom of four! On the weekends, you’ll find her cheering on her daughters at their basketball games and spending quality time with friends, watching their kids grow and bond.
