At Only About Children we believe good nutrition is vital for a child’s physical and mental development and the Playground to Plate® program is a great initiative to turn this belief into action! The program teaches children how to grow, prepare and share fresh, seasonal food.

The Playground to Plate® program is offered as part of the Grow Curriculum at our Moonee Ponds, Brunswick West, Coonans Hill and Tarneit campuses in Melbourne.  Each campus has its own unique sensory gardens with a variety of edible plants which aims to revolutionise the relationship that children have with food from nursery through to toddler and Kindergarten.

The Playground to Plate® program is delivered by our in-house professional garden educators, who work alongside the Educators, children and the in-house chef to explore and maintain the gardens.  Children learn how the food system works, how food is grown, and the value of preparing and sharing healthy food together.
