Helpful Information
Cammeray Campus Educators

Emily Sutton
Educational Leader
Emily has been with Only About Children and the Cammeray Campus for over 11 years, bringing more than 12 years of experience in early childhood education and 15 years working with children in a variety of roles.
Her journey began as a nanny and crèche worker, where she discovered how naturally she connected with children and families. Caring for her younger siblings and cousins also sparked her love for supporting children’s growth, and what started as casual babysitting grew into a lifelong career.
As an Educational Leader, Emily enjoys building connections with children and families across the campus. While she no longer works in a classroom, she values the opportunity to create a welcoming environment, greet families each day, and continue being a safe and supportive presence for all children.
Emily’s philosophy centres on teaching inclusivity, respect, and kindness by modelling positive behaviours and creating environments that encourage independence. She believes children learn best when they are having fun, exploring their own interests through books, art, and shared experiences. For her, expanding a child’s knowledge through curiosity-driven learning is one of the most rewarding parts of education.
She has a creative eye and loves setting up classrooms, arranging spaces, and organising events and excursions that bring joy to children, families, and educators alike.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys watching sport, sharing good food with friends and family, and exploring new hobbies like sewing, baking, and Pilates.
