Only About Children Ferny Hills is an exceptional long day care centre. From the directors to the educators, every staff member demonstrates a genuine care and commitment to the well-being of the children. My son has attended OAC Ferny Hills since February 2022 and has always been supported by attentive, nurturing educators who go above and beyond. The thoughtfully designed facilities and engaging activities encourage meaningful friendships that extend beyond the centre. Although we’ll be sad to say goodbye at the end of 2025, I’m confident that the strong foundation OAC has provided will help my son thrive in Prep and beyond.
Nothing but amazing things to say about this centre! Sharna and her whole team are so wonderful with my little man, he always comes home smiling! The daily updates are so wonderful as well! I trust everyone so much and couldn’t recommend them more!
Our family has been with OAC over the past three years and the team have been nothing short of amazing. We’ve appreciated the continuity of care. We’ve had many of the same staff retained which has been so wonderful for my children and has made them feel safe in the space. Staff are great with daily communication.
The team at OAC Hampton are incredible - my son has been at the Centre for two years now (from the age of 1 to 3) and the team have been consistently incredible.

Our twins love it at OAC, Taylene, Lucia and the other staff in the pre kindergarten room are fantastic. They put in so much effort into the rooms to ensure the children are comfortable and happy. Parry & Emily are wonderful, the centre is well run and our children are happy and well taken care of. We’ve been at the centre for 18 months and even though there was a lot of change things have improved greatly. We couldn’t be happier with the new management team, the centre looks great.
We have been part of the Only About Children Balwyn community for the past four years, and I honestly can’t speak highly enough of the genuine care, support, and nurturing environment they provide. From the very beginning, the educators and team showed a real commitment to getting to know not just our daughter, but our family - creating a sense of belonging that has only deepened over time.
It’s clear that the staff truly love what they do. They treat each child as an individual, supporting their development with kindness, patience, and encouragement. I have always felt that my daughter was not only safe and cared for, but genuinely seen, heard, and celebrated. One thing I have especially valued is the open and consistent communication - I am always kept in the loop and feel completely confident in how they support my daughter’s wellbeing and development.
There’s also a real sense of community here. Families are warmly welcomed, and there are so many opportunities to connect - from consistent communication via Storypark to informal chats at drop-off. The friendships our daughter has formed (and that I have too!) have been such a beautiful bonus.
Only About Children Balwyn has played such an important role in our daughter’s early years. She has grown in confidence, independence, and joy - and we feel incredibly lucky to have had such a positive, enriching start to her learning journey.

I have had my child at OAC Balwyn for 3 years and have had no issues with them. Their staff is very professional and are always there to take care of my child’s needs physically and emotionally.
I have personally got to know his educators and they are always friendly, courteous, professional and caring. They are always looking for new ways to teach the kids in interesting and varied ways. Phoebe is on the ball with the whole centre and runs the place well and has a great and committed team working for her.

Our son has attended OAC Balwyn North for the last couple of years since he was 9 months old, and our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The environment created by the team is nurturing, safe and fun. The staff are lovely and seem to genuinely care that the children are looked after. The educators at OAC are fantastic, from Nursery to Toddlers to Kinder. They are always engaging with the children and provide feedback on your child’s day upon pick up.
The campus director Phoebe is fabulous. She is so hand on and I love seeing her on the floor supporting her team and attending to our kids.
Gosh, my kids love Chef David. His meals are delicious and healthy and he serves up amazing morning and afternoon tea from freshly made dips to cakes/muffins/slices.

- Find out about our nutrition, health and wellbeing focus, with fresh meals prepared daily by our in-house cooks using a seasonal menu created by our OAC Dietitians.
- Find out what’s included in our all-inclusive fees — from nappies, formula and bedding to sunscreen and daily updates via our parent app. As well as flexible, casual and swap days.
