Coonans Hill - Pascoe Vale Childcare & Kindergarten

Only About Children Coonans Hill, also known as our Pascoe Vale Childcare campus, is a warm and welcoming centre, with a wide range of exciting, stimulating environments custom-designed to ensure your child thrives.

The centre is home to six age-appropriate indoor learning areas that feature an invigorating mix of fun activities, small group learning, and hands-on gardening experiences. Our bespoke learning spaces are devoted to the individual needs and learning requirements of each child while providing ample space for exploration, growth and interaction with peers.

Our outdoor area includes four spacious playgrounds – abundant in greenery and sunshine – for outdoor learning and exploration. Parts of the outdoor area are covered by a canopy to allow for outdoor learning and play all year round. We also have a unique sensory garden with a wide variety of edible plants. Our unparalleled Playground to Plate Program teaches children to grow, prepare and share fresh seasonal food while learning about healthy eating habits.  The program offers an opportunity for first hand learning about plants, growing food and taking care of the environment.  Laura Fiera our on-site professional garden educator, delivers lessons 3 days a week and works alongside the educators to revolutionise the relationship children have with their food.

At our Coonans Hill Early Learning Centre located in Pascoe Vale, every child is provided with access to accredited allied health services, such as Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, and Vision Therapy. Personalised growth plans are devotedly created by education and health professionals to ensure every child achieves all essential milestones in their development.

Healthy, balanced meals are included in your child’s enrolment. We’ve engaged accredited dietitians to complement your child’s early childhood education with the right nutrition for their growing bodies. Each day, our in-house chefs prepare nutritionally balanced meals using fresh and locally grown ingredients.

At Only About Children Coonans Hill we get out and about on regular excursions, so we have a great connection with the local community. We explore a variety of locations, including neighbouring parks, shops and cafes to encourage social confidence, outdoor skills and independence. The children love these programs and it brings so much joy to everyone involved.

Flexi Care (occasional care) is available at our Coonans Hill Campus. This option is for families wishing to utilise occasional or back up childcare at short notice. Flexi Care is available in 2 sessions, full day or part day and is available for children aged 12 weeks – 5 years old.

We use the Kinder Tick at Only About Children Coonans Hill because we’re an approved provider of a Victorian Government funded kindergarten program. That means our service delivers a play-based learning program, led by a qualified early childhood teacher.

Our Only About Children Coonans Hill campus is focused on giving your child a calm and welcoming environment that balances play, exploration, and learning. Our Toddler rooms are led by passionate educators who create play-based learning activities designed to provide toddler-aged children with nurturing experiences that encourage growth and development.

Our Toddler rooms are safe, supportive spaces that facilitate creative exploration. Each space is expertly designed to encourage younger children to explore, solve problems, create, construct and interact with peers. Our unique Grow Toddler Curriculum has been expertly designed to encourage younger children to explore, create, construct and interact through play and interaction with peers.

Coonans Hill Nursery 

At Only About Children Coonans Hill Nursery, we focus on developing a life-long love for learning, and enduring curiosity and confidence. The Nursery is tailored to the needs of infants aged 0-2 years.

The Coonans Hill Nursery focuses on safe sleep practices developed by qualified Family Health Nurses and Consultants. Our nursery is a safe and stimulating environment that encourages your child to explore and play and implements both structure and a nurturing environment with our exceptional caregiving and play routines.

Our Coonans Hill Nursery Program includes:

• Age 0-2 years appropriate indoor/outdoor learning environments.
• Sleeping rooms with a focus on positive sleep practices.
• Dietitian designed baby menus with all meals and snacks included.
• Baby essentials such as nappies, cots, linen, and sunscreen.
• Balanced structured and unstructured play-based learning – Grow curriculum.
