OAC Asquith engages with our community emergency services

At Asquith, we pride ourselves on the strong sense of community that surrounds our campus. One of the most exciting ways our children experience this connection is through visits from our local emergency services. These everyday heroes are instantly recognisable to preschoolers, who view them with wide-eyed admiration – real-life superheroes in uniform!
This connection runs even deeper, with many of our current families working across the emergency services in Asquith and the wider local area. It’s a relationship that brings a unique and meaningful learning experience to life.
The learning doesn’t stop when the sirens fade. Back in the classroom, the children continue to explore what they’ve seen and heard through rich conversations, imaginative role play, and shared storytelling. They’re supported by our very own safety mascot, Bunji the Safety Star – a superhero in their own right, helping children learn important safety messages in a fun and memorable way.
