Rhodes Childcare & Preschool

Rhodes Childcare Campus Overview ( 中文浏览 )

Only About Children Rhodes is a warm and inviting childcare centre conveniently located at 1E Homebush Bay Drive, within the Rhodes Corporate Park, on the fringe of Rhodes and Concord West.

Why Choose Our Rhodes Childcare Centre?

  • Two Expansive Outdoor Spaces:  Our outdoor areas are thoughtfully separated to suit different age groups—one for nursery and toddler children (0–3 years), and another for preschoolers (3–6 years). Each space is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and active play. Our youngest children enjoy a nurturing environment with a sandpit, gentle curved hill, and garden beds to explore. Meanwhile, our preschoolers delight in a bike track, cubby house, large deck, sandpit, and their own garden beds. From planting to harvesting, our children take pride in growing their own fruit, vegetables, and flowers—learning firsthand the joys of nature and nurturing.
  • Age-Based Indoor Rooms: Ten indoor spaces designed to encourage children’s development at their age and stage of growth.

  • Multicultural Campus: Our dedicated team of multilingual educators – many of whom speak Mandarin – help foster an appreciation for Chinese culture among our children. Highlights include meaningful cultural experiences such as celebrating Lunar New Year with traditional lion dance performances.

  • Local Community Connection: We love connecting with our local community through meaningful excursions -whether it’s a trip to the shopping centre, a story time at Homebush Library, or a visit to Concord Retirement Village.

Leah Espino

Campus Director

Hello, Kumusta?

I am Leah (pronounced Leya) and I am very excited to be part of the Rhodes team this year!

I am originally from the Philippines, and I have called Australia home since moving in 2013. Caring for children and family has always been innate to me, I have looked after my younger siblings and cousins growing up and occasionally supporting my parents in running the Sunday school and outreach program that supports children and families living in less fortunate areas of the Philippines. These experiences has taught me to value what I have and to always be grateful to the opportunities and resources that I have access to.

I have been a part of the OAC family for over 10 years and have worked across multiple campuses, working in different roles ranging from room educator, room leader, assistant director, educational leader and as a director.

The role that we do as Early Childhood professionals is very important in shaping our future generation. They will be our future leaders one day and it is important that we give them the right headstart to their early learning journey. Creating and fostering a safe, trusting and respectful environment is the foundation to meaningful and engaging learning. I believe that children learn best when they feel safe and confident in their environment and when their needs are met.

I am a curious one and I like to keep myself immersed in anything creative or challenging myself to learn something new. Some of my hobbies include crocheting, knitting, making candles, cooking, gardening and reading. I enjoy going on adventures and creating memories with my loved ones – travelling, going on long drives, camping or hosting dinner parties.

Looking forward to supporting you and your family!

Campus Assistant Director

Hi Families,

My name is Crystal. I am an Early Childhood Teacher with over 10 years of experience working with young children, and I have been part of the OAC community since 2018. Over the years, I have truly enjoyed building meaningful relationships with children, families, and team, and learning alongside children as they grow and develop.

I am passionate about advocating for children’s rights and safety, and about creating a nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel safe, valued, and confident to explore the world around them. I believe children learn best through play, connection, and trusting relationships, and I love supporting their curiosity, independence, and wellbeing in everyday moments.

I enjoy sharing art experiences and engaging in messy play with children, scientific experiments, discovering new things together. Working in partnership with families is very important to me, and I value these relationships in helping each child grow and flourish.

I am Korean (안녕하세요!) and enjoy celebrating cultural diversity and inclusion, supporting children to develop respect and curiosity about different culture and languages in meaningful ways.

Outside of campus, I love going nature walk, cooking, trying new food and creating art. I also have a beautiful cat named Tommy who loves to nap in the sun.

I look forward to continuing to work closely with families and supporting each child’s unique learning journey.
