Campus Overview
Only About Children Leichhardt Norton Plaza is a purpose-built Campus located within Norton Plaza, on level two of the Business Centre, 55 Norton Street.
Families at our Leichhardt Norton Plaza campus enjoy –
- Three dedicated outdoor play areas – featuring sandpits, a large bike track with bikes and scooters and an edible garden – children can enjoy creating, exploring and leading their own play.
- Six age-based indoor spaces have been specifically designed to encourage children to learn and grow with a focus on safety and natural elements.
- Getting out into our local community through planned excursions and community activities that build on our educational curriculum and the children’s interests. At our Leichhardt Norton childcare centre these include regular trips to Leichhardt Forum, the local library, fire station, nursing home, cafes, local parks and more. We invite local community members, such as storytellers and Indigenous elders, to share with our children on a regular basis.
- Passionate educators and allied health specialists who are focused on creating a learning space where families and children can learn and grow together.
- A leading nutrition, health and wellbeing offering which includes a Dietitian designed seasonal menu and fresh meals prepared daily in-house by our campus cooks
- All-inclusive offering including our daily app diary updates, nappies, formula, bedding, sunscreen and more.
At Only About Children Leichhardt Norton Plaza, we offer More Than Childcare. Our unique approach to early years learning goes beyond education to encompass the health, social development and wellbeing of every child in our care. We call it The OAC Way.
Our innovative play-based Grow Curriculum gives Nursery, Toddler and Preschool children the best opportunity to develop their growing minds during their early years. It includes:
- Left Brain Logic – Literacy & Language, Exploration & STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering & Math) and Sustainability
- Right Brain Creativity – Music, Dramatic Play and Art
- Health and Wellbeing – Physical Activity and Nutrition
- Social Development – Trust, Respect & Relationship and Resilience & Mindfulness
Our Grow curriculum is delivered via intentional teaching in dynamic small group learning environments where children’s successes, skills and challenges are monitored on an ongoing basis.
OAC Flexi (occasional care) is available at our Leichhardt Norton Plaza Campus. This option is for families wishing to utilise occasional or back up childcare at short notice. OAC Flexi is available in 2 sessions, full day or part day and is available for children aged 12 weeks – 5 years old.

Only About Children Leichhardt Norton Plaza is a purpose-built Campus located within Norton Plaza, on level two of the Business Centre, 55 Norton Street, and is just down the road from Palace Norton.
With a number of local parks and reserves within walking distance, and many local cafes, there is plenty of life surrounding our Leichhardt childcare centre! With ample undercover parking in the Plaza and designated parking available, families can enjoy an efficient drop off and pick up every visit. We are located a short two-minute walk from the Plaza entrance to bus stops nearby that have frequent services to the city. Our closest train station is Petersham Station, which is a 15-20-minute walk.

Leichhardt Norton Plaza Nursery (6 weeks – 2 years)
At Only About Children Leichhardt Norton Plaza, our nursery provides a calm and supportive environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 2 years. Our educators focus on building secure relationships and encouraging safe exploration during this important developmental stage.
Our Leichhardt Norton Plaza Nursery Program includes:
- Dedicated indoor and outdoor spaces for infants aged 6 weeks – 2 years.
- Sleeping rooms with a focus on safe sleep practices.
- Dietitian-designed baby meals and snacks.
- Essentials provided: nappies, cots, linen, and sunscreen.
- Gentle play-based learning through our Grow Curriculum

Leichhardt Norton Plaza Toddlers (2-3 years)
Our toddler program in Leichhardt Norton Plaza supports children aged 2-3 in a nurturing environment that balances learning and play. Our educators use small group activities to build confidence, social skills and early learning foundations.
What’s Included in Our Leichhardt Norton Plaza Toddler program:
- Purpose-built learning spaces for toddlers aged 2-3 years
- Balanced structured and unstructured play-based learning through our Grow Curriculum
- Small group learning activities.

Leichhardt Norton Plaza Preschool (3-5 years)
Our Leichhardt Norton Plaza preschool program prepares children for school through a blend of structured learning, creative play and wellbeing support. We use individualised learning plans to build skills in literacy, STEM, social development and resilience.
As a provider of NSW Start Strong Preschool Funding, our program is government-recognised and led by qualified early childhood teachers.
Our Leichhardt Norton Plaza Preschool Program Includes:
- Literacy, STEM, sustainability, music and art
- Individual Learning and Development Plans for every child with family check-ins every 6 months
- School-ready structure with core learning hours from 9am–3pm
- Long daycare hours for added flexibility and social growth
- Aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) for childcare.
- School-readiness support, including free Vision Screening

Abby has been working in early childhood education for over four years and has spent more than four years with Only About Children. She began her journey in early learning at the Leichhardt Norton Plaza campus and is proud to have returned as Campus Director.
Abby loves being able to shape the foundations of children’s learning while supporting educators to create warm, joyful, and safe environments where every child feels valued and confident to explore. She believes children are capable, curious learners and is passionate about play based learning, respectful relationships, and strong partnerships with families.
A lifelong Inner West local, Abby enjoys spending her spare time at the beach, exploring Sydney, and painting.
