About Oac

We believe children have a right to a choice when it comes to their learning, so at Only About Children (Oac) the basis of our curriculum is child led, play based learning. This is embedded into our daily practice with programs such as Active, Drama, Language, Music & Sustainability. Our programs are not ‘bolted on’ they are embedded into everything that we do.  

We are currently seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join the team at our Cromer Campus as a Room Leader on a 4 day per week (Thursday off) contract. 

Our purpose-built, two-level Campus is conveniently located at 38 Orlando Road, a six-minute walk from Cromer Park Soccer Fields and a 5-12-minute drive to three of our local beaches, Collaroy Beach Fishermans Beach and Dee Why Beach. With onsite parking available, including undercover parking, families can enjoy a simple drop off and pick up every visit. We are conveniently located near public transport with bus stops nearby that connect to the wider area in both directions.  

How can we support you?

We actively invest in the future by providing a professional development framework for our team members which includes 3 keys elements: professional practice training, leadership training and safety and regulatory training. There is also consistent on the job mentoring and coaching and opportunities to network with other team members.

We have an approach to ensure all training we do assists our ECT’s in their NESA accreditation. We have in our teams some of the known industry leaders such as Jenny Kable, owner of Let the children play and Let the babies play, for our team to learn from.

We understand that educating young children is complex and requires ongoing qualifications and professional development. We ensure all our team members are appropriately skilled and qualified to develop and educate young minds. For this position, we are looking for:

  • A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent approved teaching qualifications
  • A creative and cooperative team person
  • Committed to excellence in early childhood education and care
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF with proven results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
