About the Early Childhood Teacher Role

The role of Early Childhood Teacher at Oac Balwyn North will see you inspiring the programs across the kindergarten space. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: 

  • Implementing a play-based approach to learning in line with the Oac Grow curriculum and children’s interests 
  • Supporting the ready for school program
  • Creating inspiring, interesting, and age appropriate learning environments to engage children
  • Forming meaningful partnerships with families to reach the best outcomes for each individual child 
  • Supporting a team of educators in educational practices

We also have a dedicated Program Lead within our People & Culture Team who works across all three states supporting our Early Childhood Teachers. This is a newly created role at Only About Children to provide the best possible experience for our Early Childhood Teachers by providing advice and guidance through the process of achieving their registration. 

For This Position we are Seeking

  • A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent ACECQA approved teaching qualifications
  • VIT Registration (Early Childhood)
  • Experience in planning and implementing an educational program which values a holistic view of each child’s development
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF 
  • Effective implementation of pedagogy in your teaching practice
