About Only About Children 

At Only About Children (Oac) we like to do things a little differently. Our unique child led curriculum is part of our holistic approach which includes programs designed in house for music, language, drama, active and sustainability. We have seasonal healthy menus designed by our own nutritionists and prepared by our campus chefs each day and an in-house Health team including speech pathologists and occupational therapists who can work directly with children, Educators and families where any developmental delays or issues can be supported.

About the Role & Campus 

The role of an Assistant Director is a busy and varied one. With a strong focus of being hands on with the team in a coaching and mentoring capacity, this role provides the platform for longer term career succession into a Campus Director role. The majority of your time will be spent working across all rooms, however there will be non-contact time to support the Campus Director with admin related responsibilities. 

Only About Children St Leonards is located at 44-46 Pacific Highway, in the heart of St Leonards, and close to the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH). With underground parking spaces, our team can enjoying driving to work. We are conveniently located near public transport with St Leonards Train Station a five-minute walk away, and bus stops near the front door. We have several local schools in the area, including Artarmon Public, Greenwich, St Mary’s Catholic, North Sydney Public, Cammeray Public and St Thomas.

Essential Criteria  

We understand that educating young children is complex and requires ongoing qualifications and professional development. We ensure all our team members are appropriately skilled and qualified to develop and educate young minds. For this position, we are looking for:

  • Bachelor in Early Childhood Teaching/Education or Diploma level
  • Minimum 3 years experience in leadership role
  • Provide quality education, development and care to the children in our campuses
  • Provide an exceptional customer and partnership experience with our families.
  • Lead a team in day to day operations ensuring that the Campus Quality Framework and WH&S requirements are met
